Tough Labor Day Weekend for the Clemson, Florida State and Virginia Tech fans around Lake Keowee. You Georgia fans are feeling frisky again, congratulations your team looked dominate on the field. Hopefully, Clemson will get another chance in a couple of months. You just never know. What does this have to do with Lake Keowee real estate? Nothing really, just put me in a bad mood and I’ve got to talk about it with somebody.

Enough of that, let’s focus on the good news! The Lake Keowee real estate market continues to be good for us as we closed on $1.9M house listing and fielded an offer on one of the properties we currently have listed. This week should be good as we have another Lake Keowee waterfront lot to close along with some good buyer tours coming up. Football and school may have slowed things up a bit, but it’s not showing on our schedule yet. Hopefully, we’ve got at least another 45 days of strong market before we hit the winter.

A lot of that success will be dependent on the listings we get. The good news is there are still plenty of buyers in the market for you potential sellers, with not enough good options for them to purchase. Time for you to help. Squeezing Every Last Dollar from Your Home Sale

Now let’s take a look at some projects you might consider, beginning with some simple steps that can reap huge dividends.

Here are some investments in your home’s exterior that I’ve found through firsthand experience can pay huge dividends:
The bathroom

New fixtures, wall tile and flooring can make a big difference. If the bathtub is in poor shape, you can replace it, but a less expensive option may be to re-enamel it. If you keep the old tub, at least regrout and recaulk it. A good bathroom remodel or expansion can easily return more than 100 percent of its cost when you sell.

If you’re feeling ambitious, adding a half-bath or second bath to a one-bathroom house is another option to consider, space allowing. Whatever the family size, one bathroom never seems adequate to most people.
