While enjoying a gorgeous day around Lake Keowee, I chanced upon a newspaper that had the current weather forecast for the Lake Keowee area. Seeing as the college baseball season is starting this weekend, I assumed it’d show that there will be three incredible, springlike days coming up on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Much to my surprise/dismay, it predicted rain and possibly snow on Saturday. Knock it off! Don’t go ruining my early spring, Old Man Winter! Don’t y’all head out to buy bread and milk, I’ll bet you a dozen Krispy Kreme Hot Nows we won’t see the first flake of snow. Spring is here!
Football is about over. Sad. Only one more game for 2023 and then it’s back to speculating about and pining for the 2024 season. The good news is that with the end of 2023 gridiron season comes the first vestiges of the Lake Keowee 2024 selling season. Now is the time to get your property ready as the weather begins to turn towards warmer days (even had some days in the low 70’s last week). Another busy week as we’ve added a new Keowee Key home listing and expect to add a large tract of land here shortly. It’s hard to believe we’ve already put a full month in the books in 2024, but it’s good to know it was better for us than last January. Hopefully, that trend will continue. We have some great listings that should go under contract soon and before we know it, we’ll be in the full-fledged Lake Keowee selling season for 2024. Back to busy as beavers.
We were fortunate to close almost $1.5M in Lake Keowee waterfront real estate and put $400K under contract over the past week. We’ve also landed an interior home in Keowee Key to sell and are about to put a big track of Lake Keowee area land on the market. Things continue to hum right along and it looks as if 2024 will be a really good year, even with elections looming. We’ve just got to keep adding great listings!

We were able to close on an acreage tract over the past week and put a Keowee Key condo under contract. We also added a great house in Cedar Creek: 301 Cedar Creek Dr. recently that has already seen good activity. We expect to bring a multi-million-dollar home to the market when the weather clears, as well. Good stuff for January.
We are closing just under a couple hundred thousand in real estate this week and will be putting $3M in real estate on the Lake Keowee real estate market. Business over the last few days has been brisk as we’ve had a few folks looking at the current lot and housing market as well as finalizing a couple of listings we will be bringing on the market shortly. No closings as everyone seems to have taken many of the last several days off. Go figure. With those bits of activity, we expect to start out 2024 with a bang. The overall market remains in the sellers favor as we are still short of inventory. It will be interesting to see how this will change in 2024. It appears that things will be steady as she goes.
