Yep, that’s right kids are already starting to head back to school around Lake Keowee. Seems like we had a lot more summer than kids have today. They get a lot more breaks throughout the year so I suppose it evens out, but my wistful remembrances of the summers of my youth make me believe the new way is not so good as the old. But that’s true about a lot of things in life. Probably less reality and more just me. Supertramp said it best in Goodbye Stranger, “if I never look behind me, my troubles will be feeeewwwww.
So how is the real estate business around Lake Keowee: surprisingly resilient as folks continue to buy and sell at a good pace. Sellers are still in the driver seat, as many of you guys are very reluctant to let your Lake Keowee real estate go. Who can blame you? It’s a great thing to have, I like to call a Lake Keowee property a special memory making machine, worth every shiny nickel. But sometimes you’ve just got to implement some change out of necessity and now is a very good time to do just that.
Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve been able to put 5 Lake Keowee waterfront properties under contract and have a line on doing the same thing with a couple more. It would really be helpful if you sellers decided now was the right time to list. If you’re not making as many memories on Keowee any longer, implement the change and open the next chapter of your story while allowing others to jump in the lake!
