I guess there are things to be said about short days around Lake Keowee…I just can’t seem to think of any. Just really missing that sun going down after 8 pm vibe. It seems like there is so much more fun to be had when the sun is shining. Certainly, if you specialize in Lake Keowee real estate, long sunny days lead to fun and profits. I just think more people have smiles on their faces walking around at 8 pm in the sun than at 8 pm in the dark.
The good news? Every day the sun stays out equals one more minute until the middle of summer! And we’re working to make everyone’s summer happy by providing them with the perfect Lake Keowee real estate. We closed on one Lake Keowee waterfront lot this week and put a couple in the perfect place for them to make some waterfront memories (both in the sun and at night…oooh, fire pits! Those are fun night things at 7 pm). We’re also working on putting another Lake Keowee waterfront lot under contract. The offer is out there, just anticipating the seller to accept asap!
Over the next few weeks we will work hard to look over our marketing, add some new videos and in general tighten up some things that might have gotten loose over the extremely busy 2020 Keowee selling season. Along the way we’ll add some more listings and hopefully get the one that is just perfect for you! Unless of course you’re ready to sell then we can move your dream lot to someone else so they can begin the dream of their own all while fattening your bank account.

Now let’s take a closer look at improvements on a room-by-room basis, starting with your two most important rooms.
The Kitchen
If you can get away with a remodel rather than a new kitchen, do it. Because the kitchen is so important, sellers sometimes over-improve them to the point where there is no chance of recouping their investment when they move. Don’t fall into this trap.
Add a new coat of paint, refinish the cabinets and counters, change drawer pulls and handles, install new appliances, put down new floor-but don’t gut and start over if it isn’t necessary. When adding new appliances, be aware that many buyers consider brand name to be an important factor. If you don’t paint everything, at least repaint the ceiling a bright white. You’d be surprised how much it can lighten up the room. Another great way to brighten the kitchen is to add a skylight.
If you do choose to put in a new kitchen, keep in mind what sells. Buyers are looking for lots of cabinets and counter space, new appliances, and an easy flow between the sink, food prep areas, stove and refrigerator. Think sunny, spacious and clean.
