Lake Keowee Real Estate Expert Blog 3rd Quarter
We’re in the middle of the third quarter of 2024 here at Lake Keowee and the sellers are still in the lead! Plenty of buyers out there are anxious to purchase Lake Keowee property currently and inventory remains low in many categories. The economy has remained strong, but we expect some head winds as we get closer to the presidential election. We also saw that the FED didn’t lower their rates (they seem to think it’s still strong) which some had hoped would happen, not to mention July’s jobs report was weak which has all led to a substantial drop in the markets. Does this mean buyers may be getting a bit weary?
All we know for certain is that we’ve added some great listings over the past week and plan to get some of those buyers in the doors and put their boots on the ground. Check out 199 Luther Land Rd., 302 Meadowlark Lane and Lot 30 Harborside. We are hopeful we can get these under contract quickly. We also have a few million more in real estate to close before the end of August. 2024 is too early to call, let’s see what the 4th quarter has to offer.

Making the best second impression
- Make sure all plumbing and electrical systems are in good working order
- Repair cracks in the wall
- Paint – as is the case outside, a fresh coat of paint throughout the house will more than pay for itself.
- Remove wallpaper
- Replace missing molding
- Replace cracked or broken window glass
- Make sure window and door hardware match
- Install new floor coverings
- Install new light fixtures
- Make sure switch and outlet plates match from room to room
- Upgrade insulation in drafty or hot rooms
