Keowee Expert Blog Christmas Lights

Keowee Expert Blog Christmas Lights

Dec 4, 2019 | Posted by matt | Uncategorized |

It’s Christmas season again here around Lake Keowee as we all begin to see the lights popping up all around. They are a lot easier to see as the sun seems to go down right after lunch this time of year. Kinda stinks when you like doing outdoor things after work and you realize there sun went down hours ago. The answer? Just find fun things to do that can be done in the dark…like wandering around and looking at all he awesome Christmas lights!

The great news about decorations is they can make houses look really appealing – as long as they are not too much into the Christmas Vacation genre. Don’t go full on Clark Griswold, you’ll scare away the buyers and your light bill will ruin your Christmas. Another great thing about looking at houses or lots this time of year is that the leaves have left the limbs giving you a much better feel for the current views and possible views of a property. So, long story short; a great time to search for a Lake Keowee waterfront property.

Fortunately for us we’ve had many folks taking advantage of that situation and putting pin to paper as we’ve put another house and lot under contract over the past week. Great to have that happen during the Thanksgiving holiday. Good for the sellers and good for the buyers. Keep that up over the next few weeks and it’ll be very merry Christmas, indeed.

We’ve been very successful selling our Lake Keowee waterfront listings this year and we are in need of more! If you’ve been thinking about putting your property on the market, let us know. We’d be happy to get out and take a look and let you know your current value.

How To Avoid Paying Too Much
Tip No. 15 Ask for a written comparative analysis.
One way to ensure that your don’t offer too much for a home is to ask your agent to prepare a written comparative market analysis. A CMA will show you the sale prices of comparable homes in the neighborhood. It also lists the asking prices of other homes in the area currently on the market.
You may find that the asking price is above what comparable homes in bargain. When you make an offer, you can use the CMA as evidence to show the seller why you believe your offer is a reasonable one.
