Keowee Expert Blog BAM! It’s Fall!
Last week it looked like summer had no plans other than hanging wearing out its welcome. Around Lake Keowee we had plenty of green leaves on the trees and temps in the 80’s, this week it looks like the middle of fall. I can’t remember a more epic switch than this most recent change of seasons. The temperatures really dropped down last week getting into the 40’s overnight. On Monday we were in the mid to high 70’s and the day was just drop dead gorgeous. If we haven’t said it enough over the past 3 blogs, fall is awesome around Lake Keowee. Don’t believe me? Come see for yourself!
With the weather change we begin to see properties in a whole new light. The leaves begin to thin out clearing up what were obstructed views and the air is crisp and clear that seems to expand those views even longer distances. This is when Lake Keowee really comes into its element. It’s not just a summertime, water sports, etc. fun place, it’s also a mountain retreat where you can enjoy foliage change, wildlife and all things mountain living. From most points on Lake Keowee you are just 30 minutes to 15 different state parks including incredible waterfalls like Whitewater Falls known as the “tallest East of the Mississippi” to Keowee Toxaway State Park with its museum that contains exhibits regarding the area Cherokee Indians. As I’ve commented in the past in this very Lake Keowee Real Estate Expert Blog I love to take the kids up to the top of Sassafras Mountain and watch the sun set over 3 states.
What does this all have to do with Lake Keowee waterfront real estate? Everything as it’s not just about summer fun on the water, but everything else this incredible area has to offer.
