Keowee Expert Blog 2020 is Almost Over

Keowee Expert Blog 2020 is Almost Over

Dec 30, 2020 | Posted by matt | Uncategorized |

Here we are around Lake Keowee in the last week of 2020 with lots of exciting events occurring; including New Year’s Eve and the Clemson v. Ohio State football game for a chance to play for the National Championship again. What a run for Clemson football and it looks as if Clemson basketball is poised for an excellent year with a deep well of talent. They faced the 18th ranked Florida State Seminoles last night and were able to come away with a hard fought victory. Should be a year for NCAA tournament for them. Lake Keowee is not all about boating, skiing, jet skiing, fishing, etc. It’s also about everything in close proximity. As Clemson alumni, Mike and I are more than happy to keep you up to date with what’s what concerning our beloved Tigers!

Clemson sports and Clemson University as a whole brings a lot of value to Lake Keowee real estate. It’s fun to be able to enjoy big time college sports so close to home. For most folks living on Lake Keowee, Clemson is less than 30 minutes away. When you couple that with an hour to Greenville, 2 hours to Atlanta and 4 hours to the beaches and the coast you have one heck of a convenient spot to have a lake. Those are some of the many reasons we’ve chosen to live here and we don’t plan on leaving any time soon.

How has business been? In a word, “excellent”. We’ve closed over $40M in real estate this year on 107 sides. That is more than we expected, certainly more than we expected back in March. Several factors came together to lead to folks clambering to own their piece of Lake Keowee and fortunately for us we’ve been able to be there to help. In fact, we continue to help and are seeing 2021 starting out in similar fashion and we are encouraged! The big issue is going to be inventory. You can’t sell what’s not available (most of the time). Things have a way of working themselves out so we’ll continue to show up and work hard and enjoy whatever Lake Keowee life throws at us and as we’ve taken great pains to point out, there are a lot worse places to do so!

Squeezing Every Last Dollar From Your Home Sale
Making the best second impression
Many buyers value good wood floors, so sand and refinish yours if they can be restored. Otherwise, you might consider new flooring. If your home is short on storage space, consider how you can add shelving, cabinets or other storage systems to remedy this deficiency. You may also consider replacing windows and doors with more energy-efficient models.
More next week….
