The Clemson home football season is over, but they have at least 2 more games to play.hopefully 4 more! But, wow, that season flew by. Fortunately for us around Lake Keowee there are more major college sports as well as many other things we can enjoy as we head into the holiday season; like basketball, baseball, leaves changing, caroling and the multitude of seasonal festivities, and even decorating your boat with lights for a Lake Keowee Christmas Parade. You can also spend your time looking for that perfect Lake Keowee home or lot. As the leaves continue to vacate their perches, the views open up dramatically and you get a much better idea of everything around a property. Taking a look at a home while it’s decorated for Christmas gives you a whole different feel for it, driving home the great four season climate we have in our area. It’s great to have a fireplace, fire pit, etc., that you can use that actually fulfills its purpose of warming you up (not like Florida where you’d prefer anything but heat coming from it).

We continue to work hard to get our client’s homes out in front of as many eyes as possible and continue to see loads of activity on our listings. We have been able to put another house under contract over the past week and have two more that are getting close. There are some really great deals on waterfront lots out there as well – prices remain good and you can get a gentle sloping waterfront lot with a beach for less than $200,000. That’s waaaay better than a new Lexus in the driveway, ask anybody! Keep the old Lexus for few more years and you could have a Lake Keowee place to enjoy and wouldn’t the kids and grandkids actually enjoy that more?

Make sure you take that car to the shop over the next few days to get it ready for the Thanksgiving travel. Take it to the detailer and make it look like new again. Do it for the children!

Good properties move fast. Once you’ve made up your mind to buy a home and you’ve lined up a Realtor, be prepared to make decisions quickly. If you find the right home today but aren’t ready to buy until tomorrow, you may already be too late.
