Keowee Real Estate Expert Blog Feelin' Fall

It’s been another good week around Lake Keowee of showing property and closing deals for us here at your favorite realty company Top Guns Realty. The fervor for Lake Keowee real estate remains pitched as we head into fall. That’s right, before you know it the leaves will be changing (in fact… it’s already happening! I’ve seen it!!). Seems strange as the temperatures haven’t abated much. I’m sure by this time next month we’ll have seen some evenings in the 60’s. I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait!

This past week we’ve been able to close over $1.7M in Lake Keowee real estate. We’ve also added two new waterfront lot listings and will be putting another Lake Keowee waterfront home on the market in a couple of days. That’s what we call getting it done. The virus has been quite a force for pushing folks to the lake. It will be more than interesting to see what happens when things get back to normal (hopefully sooner rather than later). We can’t be anti-social as a society forever (I’m not counting social media – does that count as social? – shouldn’t).

We’ll keep pushing hard to list and sell Lake Keowee real estate. After 30 plus years, we know what we’re good at so we’ll keep doing it. Wouldn’t you?

Squeezing Every Last Dollar From Your Home Sale

Here are some investments in your home’s exterior that I’ve found through firsthand experience can pay huge dividends:

Paint

It should come as no surprise that surveys show that painting the exterior of your home results in the greatest return of time and money invested when compared to other improvements done for selling purposes. An investment of $2,000-$4000 can mean adding $6,000 to $8,000 to your asking price. and if youi can do a good job yourself, your profit is even greater.

Even if your home doesn’t need the full treatment, check the trim around windows and doorways for cracking or peeling, ad do any necessary touch-up work.
