Sing it Etta! Finally, fall weather is here! We’ve been talking about it for weeks but it’s been more than a bit elusive. Better late than never I always (well, sometimes) say. Time to enjoy around 4 weeks of drop dead, smack-yo-mama-in-the-mouth beautiful. We love this time of year and so do all of our cameras. The fall is the time of year to take some great shots of your property. Store them away for the day you decide to put her up for sale. Don’t delay, do it soon. These fall days will be gone before you can blink and we’ll be talking about Christmas lights.

We’ve been busting our tails taking advantage of the weather to get several new listings up and running. Only one new property under contract this past week. Business is beginning to slow down a bit though we expect to continue to have folks taking good long looks throughout the fall with the big slowdown coming in the December/January time frame.

If you are a buyer, now is a great time to take a look as sellers start to get settled in for the winter with the mindset of “wait till next year.” You could surprise them and maybe get the absolute best deal possible! Go for it!

By James Evans – SALEM – Keowee Key residents celebrated the grand opening of the community’s driving range and putting green Wednesday morning.

“What a beautiful day in our neighborhood,” board president Margaret Eldridge said.

The opening was the latest in a slate of events at Kewoee Key in October as part of a multi-million dollar investment coming online.

“We appreciat4e so much the membership’s patience with us and investment in the community,” Eldridge said. “The $14 million you’re investing, you can see we’re certainly getting a return on that.”

Eldridge said Wednesday’s event was “the dress rehearsal” for the re-opening of Keowee Key’s golf course…
