It’s still hot outside here around Lake Keowee, although we are starting to see some leaves beginning to fall. There are still several weeks of awesome lake fun left for the season; swimming and frolicking time ain’t over yet, y’all! The number of leaves hitting the ground will increase substantially over the next month so make sure you have your blowers and rakes ready to go, as well as your itinerary set get in the last of water activities before the cold weather sets in.
The best part of the upcoming fall is the temperature accompanied by the scenery. Over the next 3 months we will get some of the best weather in the world with crisp clear days in the 70’s with absolutely stunning views of the leaves changing across the mountains and lowlands. There will be cool nights made for a family gathering around the fire pit roasting marshmallows, hot dogs, etc, and of course lots and lots of football.
What does all of that have to do with Lake Keowee Real Estate? Things will also continue to slow down as we get further away from July 4th and closer to December 25th. The good news is sales won’t fall off a cliff. They will continue, though more slowly, throughout the year. In fact, some of the best times to purchase around Lake Keowee are the fall and winter. Sellers realize the prime selling season is behind them until next year and in some cases they are willing to be a little more flexible than they were a month ago.
