Lake Keowee Real Estate Expert Blog One Month In
Just like every year I can remember, January around Lake Keowee has flown by. It’s been busier than expected which is a good sign for the rest of 2023. There’s plenty of news out there that the real estate market will remain tepid. The good news for us is we’ve seemed to have reached an equilibrium as the number of sellers, in many categories, remains below the number of buyers, meaning that a good listing reasonably priced will sell in a reasonable period. That’s far from the case back in 2010. Please don’t make me harken back to those days, they left a lot to be desired.
As for us, we were able to put one house under contract over the past week. No new listings for the first time in quite a while, but basically par for the course in January, especially a rainy January (seems like it’s rained 4 out of 5 days a week – enough already!). Hopefully, these showers will in fact bring May flowers and we can skip the April the weather that the rhyme suggests and we’ll have much more time to shoot aerial videos, etc, in the upcoming spring.
We’ll be looking at a couple of new potential listings over the coming week as well as getting out with a few buyers to take a look at their soon to be new Lake Keowee real estate. Wish us luck and really think hard about taking advantage of the surprisingly good market for sellers around Lake Keowee!
