Around Lake Keowee, and pretty much the rest of the globe, we’re in that in between moment stretch Thanksgiving and Christmas. Yes, it’s the holiday season but it’s always an interesting time for Lake Keowee real estate. We’re dealing with closings of properties that went under contract at the end of October and beginning of November. We’re also fielding calls for those folks who aren’t afraid of a little cold weather when it comes to searching for that perfect piece of Lake Keowee real estate. Although, this little period seems to come with lots of fits and starts as folks work around holiday stuff (How else do you express it? Just always seems disjointed.)
We’ve been busy as usual this past week, even with the annual Thanksgiving gathering. We were able to close 2 Lake Keowee waterfront homes and 2 Lake Keowee waterfront lots. Not too much in the way of buyers out and about last week, right now the lack of inventory is putting a damper on new sales. There are still buyers in the market even with the winter weather, just need some new listings for them to check out.
That’s where you guys come in, we need some new listings. A few more horses in the stable, if you will. It’s a great time to put your property on the market. Right now with the leaves off of the trees you’re able to get a much better idea of everything around a property. In the case of a waterfront lot, you can see what the view is like if the limbs were cleared – a very important aspect of lot value allowing a deeper understanding of the lot.
