Great Heights Reached on Lake Keowee
Great! What a fantastic week of July 4th celebrations! I don’t know about y’all but we made the most of our opportunities this past week with events attended along with business created. I’ll bet many of you are also saying, we’ll need a week to recover from our week of fun.
On the entertainment side I was able to get out and play golf on July 4th, as well as this past Sunday. My son got to go to adventure camp where he enjoying zip lining, whitewater rafting and more. My daughter was at Harvard University enjoying the Harvard Leadership Summit and my wife was along for the ride enjoying the history and entertainment the great city of Boston has to offer.
While the two days of golf were nice, they didn’t go without phone calls and Lake Keowee real estate deals. As I’ve said numerous times, this is the time of year where the rubber meets the road in Lake Keowee area sales. We were able to write up 11 sides over the past week. That’s 7 lots and 2 houses being put under contract in one week (give or take a day – so busy I can’t exactly remember). That’s a half a year’s business for most folks who sell real estate. Great.
We expect this barrage to continue, though business will most likely begin to slow a bit over the next couple of weeks. Slow down being a relative term as sales will very slowly decline from this peak couple of weeks as it subsides into the more relaxed winter market.
If you are selling don’t fret, reset. Take a look at the current condition of your property (price, looks, etc.) and make changes as necessary. If you need help deciding exactly what changes should be made, call us. That’s in our wheelhouse. There are also several useful tools we have on our web site to help you with that, as well. Because they are uber helpful, of course.
29 Essential Tips That Get Homes Sold Fast (And For Top Dollar)
Tip #12 Fix everything no matter how insignificant it may appear.
The step that squeaks, the light switch that doesn’t work, the hairline crack in the bathroom mirror—they might be minor annoyances to you, but they can also be deal-killers. The problem is that you never know what will turn a buyer off. And even something minor that’s gone unattended can suggest that perhaps there are bigger, less visible problems present, as well.
