Around Lake Keowee a lot of folks are enjoying their time on the lake and watching their sons and daughters, grandchildren, cousins, etc. graduate from local area high schools. Soon after, many are heading to the beach and lakes for vacations. All this travel and graduating leads to a slow week or two in the Lake Keowee real estate market. It happens every year and 2023 was no exception.
We were able to get an interior home with a boat slip under contract as well as meet with some great people about getting their property on the market but for the most part is was a relatively uneventful week, except for us dealing with children graduating from high school. We expect that, as usual, things will pick up around Lake Keowee moving through the middle of July. These upcoming weeks are critical to see how 2023 will ultimately play out. Fingers crossed things will be good!
Now is the time to put your property on the market. These next few weeks are when the most folks will be looking at Lake Keowee real estate. We can certainly get your property sold during any portion of the year, but its always better to have more people in the market! Call us and let’s get started!
Home Buyers: How to Avoid Paying Too Much
A Simple Guide to Help Avoid Overpaying For Your Home.
Simply put, paying too much can jeopardize the integrity of your investment. Here’s vital information to help you avoid overpaying for your property.
Tip #15 Ask for a written comparative analysis.
One way to ensure that you don’t offer too much for a home is to ask your agent to prepare a written comparative market analysis. A CMA will show you the sale prices of comparable homes in the neighborhood. It also lists the asking prices of other homes in the area currently on the market.
You may find that the asking price is above what comparable homes in the neighborhood are actually selling for. Or you might even find another home in the area that’s a better bargain. When you make an offer; you can use the CMA as evidence to show the seller why you believe your offer is a reasonable one.
