Christmas Around Lake Keowee
My daughter’s favorite time of the year around Lake Keowee (except for the short days and sometimes bitter cold – bitter cold for us in the south, you know – 20 degrees…bitter), with the holiday lights blazing and the Christmas music on the radio, family gatherings, and of course National Championship runs for our Clemson Tigers! As I reflect on the last couple of sentences I realize I really like this time of year, as well!
The bad part about this time of year is most folks aren’t thinking about Lake Keowee waterfront real estate. Maybe we could do a “December To Remember” event like Lexus? If you have any good ideas let us know. Fortunately there is still business going on as we closed yet another lot over Thanksgiving and have three more properties to close this week. We hope to get a house under contract before we get into December also. We continue to look over all of our marketing and evaluate what works best (Web Site) and pour money into those things to keep our Lake Keowee sales engine running smoothly. Hope everyone had as good of a Thanksgiving just as we did. Great time at the family gathering and even more fun at the SC family gathering on Saturday. Tigers put it on the Cocks, but Jake finally had a break-out game. If he makes it back in 2019, look out!

Hundreds crowded downtown Seneca’s Norton Thompson Park on Monday night for the unveiling of the city’s new holiday light show, including a brand-new 32-foot Christmas tree.
By Norm Cannada – SENECA – City administrator Scott Moulder was both excited and a little nervous as he watched the unveiling of the new Christmas light show at Seneca’s Norton Thompson Park on Monday night.
His first reaction?
“Oh my goodness, it works,” Moulder said.
The lights, synced with music playing from speakers throughout Main Street, along with decorations and a new 32-foot Christmas tree, are part of a $75,000 upgrade the city made through Hospitality and Accommodations Tax funds designed to bring more people to the downtown area this holiday season…
