Hope all of you had a great Christmas and are excited about doing exactly what you want to do for New Year’s Eve. For me I’ll probably in bed and asleep by 10:45. All this Lake Keowee real estate selling stuff can wear a guy out!

How’s business? Very good. Thanks for asking. It’s been an above average November and looks to be a good December. We closed on a couple of properties over the past week and put another Lake Keowee waterfront real estate lot under contract. We’ve also been out to a few more potential listings that we expect to get on the market soon.

How’s business? Slower than we’d like though as to be expected this time of year. We are still getting good activity on listings even for this time of year and have some buyers getting very close to making decisions. We are also still in need of more listings. We’ve stated exactly that repeatedly in the past and you’ve responded beautifully…do it again?

The great news is the views are opening and you can get a much better idea of the overall look of a Lake Keowee piece of land or home with those pesky leaves on the ground instead of in the trees. We’ve listed a few spectacular lots over the couple of weeks and they are begging for you buyers to come out and see them in their leafless glory.  Check out Lot 56 Point Harbor, Lot 5 Laurel Ridge, and Lot 6 Laurel Ridge. We also have a couple of houses we hope to get on the market soon, probably sometime soon after the Thanksgiving holiday. 

Finally, we are going to get some nice cold weather around Lake Keowee. Over the next few days, the weatherman is calling for highs in the 50’s with some frost warnings at night. Lookout, we might be heading deep into a southern winter. In a month or so we might even have a freeze warning. Probably too much to ask for a white Christmas. But let’s do it anyway. Please, Old Man Winter, give us a white Christmas (just for a day – not real big on long snow events, we just want to borrow some snow for a little while).

The bad news is we only have a couple of new listings to take pictures of. Everything is lining up except you fence sitters. Now is a great time to put your Lake Keowee home or lot on the market as there are still plenty of buyers in the market. We can help you by letting you know the current value of your home. Around Lake Keowee there is a new level of excitement as we enter the football season. The of the really great things about Lake Keowee being so close to Clemson University is you can tailgate on the Lake for pregame then head to your (or your friend’s) tailgate spot at the stadium! You can also rent out your home for a pretty penny on those days if you are in a community that allows such. There aren’t that many houses that fit that bill but luckily, we have one that does!
