Keowee Real Estate Expert Blog Rough Week
Well, we’ve moved through a week around Lake Keowee of stay at home/shelter in place (rough week for Oconee/Pickens counties). Not only do we need to be staying at home to protect ourselves from viruses, but we also had to hunker down in the doorways a couple of days ago to avoid a tornado. The lower part of Seneca and Oconee was struck by n EF-4 last week and it caused quite a bit of damage to the Seneca area and heavy damage to the Borg Warner plant in particular. Those folks are literally picking up the pieces as debris was strewn across several miles of land. There were a few homes around the Seneca portion of Lake Keowee that were affected, mostly from trees falling and wind. That tree next to your house may be beautiful, but make sure it won’t fall on anything important.
Aside from the obvious issues we are dealing with, it was a pretty good week. We were able to put two pieces of Lake Keowee waterfront property under contract and had some other positive activity on our listings. The weather has been absolutely stunning making it even more difficult for folks to stay inside. Fortunately, most folks seem to be abiding by the rules and staying clear of each other whilst also donning the necessary PPE. Let’s keep it up and before you know it, our beautiful world will be normal. Then, before you know it, we won’t have to do it anymore (please happen quickly).
Our video walk-throughs and aerial videos are doing wonders to help folks understand the properties we have listed even from the comfort of their own homes. If you are thinking about listing, we can do it and get your Lake Keowee home or property out in front of as many eyes as possible even when those eyes are forced to stay at home!
