Keowee Expert Blog Goodbye 2019!
2019 around Lake Keowee has been a great year. Hopefully, it’s been a great year for all of you guys as well. It feels like the years are starting to fly by, the number 2020 as a year has a very futuristic feel to it. Think back to when you were 12 years old (for me that was 1981). If I’d have asked you to describe 2020, what would you have said? A lot of 12 year old crap, mostly about flying cars, etc. I’d bet. Good news is we have plenty of futuristic stuff and plenty of good old fashioned stuff as well. it all seems to be working out. Hopefully, I can say that about 2058 as – yes I will be 88, in tip top condition and of course still writing this blog.
The year was packed with tons of activities and lots of great fun along with the requisite depressing moments of course. What would life be without all of that? We were able to close right at $24M in real estate on 68 real estate sides in 2019 and have January of 2020 set to be one of the best months we’ve ever had. Certainly one of the best January’s we’ve ever had. It’s always good to have a great start to a year, especially in our business when January is normally one of the slowest months.
The housing inventory around Keowee is getting really tight. Lots on the other hand are moving fairly slowly. The hope is we will see a marked increase in the number of Lake Keowee waterfront lot sales as folks realize they’ve got to build in order to get what they want. We’ve got several really good lots just waiting for the right folks to come along.
Here is to a great 2020!
How To Avoid Paying Too Much
Tip No. 18 Use time to your advantage.
Just as you have a time frame in which you wish to buy, the seller almost certainly has a deadline of his own. If you can learn the seller’s deadline, it’s another piece of information that can be used to negotiate a better deal.
More next week….
