Even though it’s still warm around Lake Keowee we are starting to see the first hints of the colors to come (and the warm days are turning into cooler nights, which is nice). We are seeing spectacular, clear blue skies days making it the perfect time to get out on Lake Keowee and enjoy the last vestiges of the 2023 Lake Keowee season (who knows, you might even want to purchase your own place to take advantage of the fall colors and have a great place to spend Thanksgiving and Christmas or sell what you’ve got since you won’t get out as much over the winter).

I just spoke with a mortgage banker. Did you know that the mortgage rate for a 30-year fixed loan is approaching 8% (that’s an example of a “economic headwind”)? In most markets that is going to spell a real slowdown in home sales. In the Lake Keowee real estate market, we still don’t have enough inventory to satisfy the buyers.
