2024 has begun in earnest and we are working hard to read the proverbial tea leaves for real estate around Lake Keowee. At this point everything seems to remain status quo. We are low on inventory as we’ve been for quite awhile. If you have waterfront or interior property (with a boat slip) around you have quite a valuable possession. It’s actually as valuable right now as it’s ever been. Will it continue to be that way forever? Sadly, no. There will eventually be a downturn in values, probably when supply outpaces demand. Currently there is still plenty of demand and the next couple of months will let us know how this season’s supply works out as the best time to put your Lake Keowee real estate on the market starts in a couple of months.
We were able to close on an acreage tract over the past week and put a Keowee Key condo under contract. We also added a great house in Cedar Creek: 301 Cedar Creek Dr. recently that has already seen good activity. We expect to bring a multi-million-dollar home to the market when the weather clears, as well. Good stuff for January.
January, February and part of March are always expected to be the slowest months of the year making it a great time to get your property ready to list.
