Lake Keowee Real Estate Expert Blog Hurricane!
What a fantastic weekend! Heck, what a fantastic two past weekends here on Lake Keowee! Unfortunately things have changed over the past couple of days as we’ve been hit with the remnants of Hurricane Irma. As you are probably aware, not just us but a whole bunch of folks (millions) have been affected by the storm. The Lake Keowee area has been home to many a refugee from Florida and Georgia and we welcome them! Fortunately for our area the winds were much less extreme than what Georgia, Florida, and most especially the Florida Keys experienced. Our thoughts and prayers go out to those who faced the full brunt of the hurricane. There will be a lot of cleanup following this disaster. We are thankful that the loss of life seems to be at a minimum. It could have been so very much worse. We were lucky that the storm did its storm thing and then dissipated quickly. So now we clean up the debris and get back to living life in one of the most special places on earth.
Business remains strong as we are working on two large Lake Keowee lot deals and a house. Nothing signed, sealed and delivered yet, but hopefully by next week that will change. We have closed on two Lake Keowee waterfront houses and three Lake Keowee waterfront lots since last you read. Good stuff! We’ve also met with two folks looking to list their homes and another two looking to sell their Lake Keowee waterfront lots. Same stuff, different week come hurricane remnant or blissfully sunny day!
