Lake Keowee Real Estate Expert Blog Gorgeous!

The weather around Lake Keowee has been spectacular! Mostly clear skies with high temperatures in the 70’s. Perfect days to get out on Lake Keowee then maybe hit the golf course or vice versa. I’ve been out on the range trying to knock the rust off with a lot of other folks  (just like the Tinman, I need the old oil can!). It’s the time of year where your body feels the excitement of spring and the expectation of summer fun. What a great time to be selling Lake Keowee real estate!

Over the past week we’ve been able to close on one house and a Cliffs Springs lot. We’ll close on another Lake Keowee waterfront home and lot over the next few days. We’ve just added a spectacular home in Beacon Shores, 519 Beacon Shores Drive, and have a line on another Lake Keowee interior lot that we plan to add to the inventory very soon. That’s the kind of busy we love. Just need to keep it moving!

The broken record continues, we need more inventory. Especially as we get into the buying season. We need your help. If you’ve been thinking about selling, now is an excellent time to do so. Presidential elections are coming up so who knows what the future holds. May be time to turn that Lake Keowee property into cold hard cash!

Private Mortgage Insurance (PMI) – Private mortgage insurance is required by the lender on loans with down payments of 10% or less.  The cost can run from one-third of a percent to 1 percent monthly. Once your equity reaches 20-25 percent, you may be able to cancel your insurance. While some look at this required insurance as a nuisance, without it, there wouldn’t be loan options with only 3% down or 5% down – all loans would probably require the more restrictive 20% down.
