Hurricane Matthew
Hopefully all of you guys are safe and sound after Hurricane Matthew blew through. I know the lower part of our state was hit very hard with lots of rain and damaging wind. In fact, I heard one of my friends say that felt that he and Matthew were close enough that he could call him Matt now and I told him Matthew was a probably an elitist snob who would correct you and say that no, his name is Matthew …and he would probably over pronounce the “w”. I received a report from my parents in Florence telling of trees down on houses, in yards, over roads and all over power lines. The good news is they got their power back yesterday when they had originally been told it wouldn’t be until this coming Sunday! Good job Duke Energy, thank you guys for all of your hard work! Here in the Upstate of SC we did receive rain and wind but not too much. Only Friday was rainy, the rest of the weekend was “Chamber of Commerce weather”. Our area is still in a drought and can use the rain, and we would prefer it to be the normal wet kind not accompanied by 100+ mile an hour winds thank you very much!
Business? Closed more properties which gets us up over $23,000,000 on 72 sides for the year (that’s slinging some real estate, brother!). And even got some property under contract, as well. Overall sales have dropped dramatically – as to be expected – with the election coming up but mostly it’s just that time of year. Hopefully, once we get past the election we can get back to the numbers we were piling up over the winter last year. Keep your fingers crossed!
Seller’s, it’s a great time to make your property shine! Buyers it’s a great time to BUY!
