As Spring Turns into Summer
Now that the leaves are in place it’s starting to really feel like summer around Lake Keowee. There is something about seeing leaves on the trees that makes the water look and feel warmer. As I stand on the dock of a new listing and gaze into that sparkling clear water I find myself taken back in my mind to my childhood and longing to take some time to frolic in the waves while the Eagles blast on he boom box. The really good news is that as soon as we get the lot listed and looking as good as possible we can do just that.
Activity, activity, activity… as I say every week about this time, we are busy. We’ve had some really good buyer tours over the last couple of weeks that will definitely turn lookers into owners very soon though there still seems to be just a slight hesitation over grabbing the dream of owning on Lake Keowee for one or two of them. The urgency is there, just still quite a few properties to choose from and finalizing the decision can be a bit daunting for a buyer. So far in 2014 we are still pretty much where we were in 2013 and 2012. The weather has been crazy and caused some folks to push off touring and/or purchasing so far this year and were certain that is the primary reason that we haven’t yet seen the expected increase over 2013. The good news is a lot of the economic news appears to be strong; meaning it is just a matter of time before buyer confidence is such that a decision becomes inevitable and they’ll make that Lake Keowee place they’ve had their eye on their own.
