OOUUUCCHHH!!!
Remember the time you woke up thirsty in the middle of the night so you stumbled into the kitchen only to kick the coffee table after stepping on the kid’s lego block? Multiply that by infinity and that’s almost the feeling I was having as about me and the other 799 remaining Clemson fans watched the Tigers score their final touchdown with less than a minute left to improve the score to 51 to 14 (Lest you live under a rock, Florida State had the 51). Needless to say the Seminoles didn’t take last week’s Lake Keowee Real Estate Blog to heart and it looks like they are ready to compete for another national title. Clemson, not so much; the good news is that Tiger fans put on a heck of a party. The atmosphere all day long was everything you could ask for with events for folks of all ages and about 30,000 tail gates open for business.
Speaking of business, how is the Lake Keowee real estate business going? I’m so glad you asked; there are 17 houses currently under contract (out of 255) and 15 lots currently under contract (out of 456). The good news for us is we do have a couple of those “under contract” and we are working on getting a several more. So generally speaking the numbers aren’t great. The primary negative influences being the government induced fear as well as it just being that time of year (just not as many folks looking for Lake Keowee waterfront real estate during the Fall and Winter). We are still on track to have a better 2013 than 2012, but only by a little.
If you’re a buyer–WHAT AN OPPORTUNITY! You can beat up on a seller like Florida State beat up on Clemson. If you’re a seller, make sure your property SHINES!
