We don’t know about y’all, but we sure are missing some football here around Lake Keowee. Amazon’s Alexa Show has this cool thing where it will show you pictures from years past. This morning is was showing pictures I’d taken of the Clemson vs. Texas A&M in Texas in 2018 and last year’s game in Clemson. Seems like 2 lifetimes ago. Things were a little simpler then, huh? Can’t wait to get back to that time as living with the fear of Covid-19 is not nearly as much fun as we’d hoped (seriously though, our thoughts and prayers go out to you folks who’ve lost loved ones). We’re making the best of it! Fortunately for us we work on Lake Keowee and there are many, many people anxious to get their piece of property on this beautiful lake.

Over the past week we were able to close on a Lake Keowee waterfront lot and put the finishing touches on a couple of Lake Keowee waterfront listings. The buyer activity has only been tempered by lack of inventory. Houses are getting snapped up as soon as they come on the market and lots are not far behind. We can’t remember a time when the inventory was lower. It’ll be very interesting to see what happens when the pandemic is over. Will the demand remain this high? Good question. It should come as no surprise that surveys show that painting the exterior of your home results in the greatest return of time and money invested when compared to other improvements done for selling purposes. An investment of $2,000-$4000 can mean adding $6,000 to $8,000 to your asking price. and if youi can do a good job yourself, your profit is even greater.

Even if your home doesn’t need the full treatment, check the trim around windows and doorways for cracking or peeling, ad do any necessary touch-up work.
