Ever have one of those days that every step you take forward only results in getting knocked back two? One bold stride in the right direction immediately followed by a punch in the gut. Another step then a kick to the groin. Undaunted, you push ahead then step on a rake that pops up and breaks your front teeth. Some people call those days Mondays. Others call them “days I’m awake”. But yeah, we’ve all had ’em. Today started out like that for me but I endeavored to persevere and while I may resemble Wile E. Coyote after a fun-filled day in the desert with the Road Runner, I find myself up about 10 steps to the good despite the 37 run-ins with Murphy’s Law. I call that progress (the Top Guns pride ourselves on our ability to see the glass half full)!
We successfully ground-based videoed, took Litro pictures of, took 360 degree pictures of and created aerial video of two new fantastic Lake Keowee water front homes. Now I’ve got to sit down in front of the computer for a couple of days to get it all processed and uploaded to the myriad of advertising outlets we utilize. Don’t ever say we don’t know how to have fun!
How’s business? (Broken record) – good, very good in fact. We closed just under $1,500,000 in property over the past week and, see above, added some very nice listings. We continue on this torrid pace and have visions of breaking our personal bests in 2016. With interest rates remaining low and plenty of good inventory out there, it should be a cinch.
We’re seeing a spike in new lot listings on the lake with the total of water front lots reaching 476 as of yesterday. Seeing as the entire market will probably close a total of 160 for 2016 that’s going to leave a lot of unhappy campers, still. The good news is things continue to get better, though for you lot sellers, at a snail’s pace. Houses, you’re doing better especially if you are under $600,000.
Sellers keep the faith! Do what you can to make your property shine! We’ll be happy to tell you what we think, just ask.
Buyers, all good things come to an end and for some of you they already have but for most of you WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR??????
