Time to Shine!
You’ve heard me say it before and I don’t hesitate to say it once more (with feeling!)…Time for you to make your property shine! It simply must look better than the competitors. “But why, oh why, great and wizened sage of real estate and college athletics?” you may ask. Allow me to enlighten you with an ancient proverb passed down for millennia: “You don’t have to outrun the bear, just the guy with you.” There are more than 440 water front lots available on Lake Keowee that you’d need a machete, snake boots and a reality TV camera crew to walk through. How many folks do you think will walk them? If you answered none, you are dead on – primarily because there are numerous other properties just down the road that are clean and safe to traverse. This is why we always advise our property owners to under-brush their properties prior to putting them on the market. Knocking out most of your potential buyers up front inevitably leads to failure in the end and who needs that? It simply costs us both too much time and money!
Another house and another lot under contract. Boom! Four more tours scheduled between now and the next Lake Keowee real estate expert blog. And in vocabulary news, I’m going to create a new word for “busy” since I’ve worn it out over the past several months. Over $8,000,000 closed and another $2,000,000 to close this month. Still plenty to sell, I guess we don’t have to sell them all but that doesn’t mean we’re not going to try!
Another piece of exciting news is that Mike will be featured in the upcoming HGTV episode of “Lake Front Bargain Hunt” Kickin’ Back on Keowee. Set your DVR’s for May 11 at 8 pm or watch it live, put down the iPad, pop some popcorn, and enjoy the whole experience! They spent many hours shooting aerial video as well as additional ground and water based footage sure to make our Lake Keowee shine!
