While enjoying a gorgeous day around Lake Keowee, I chanced upon a newspaper that had the current weather forecast for the Lake Keowee area. Seeing as the college baseball season is starting this weekend, I assumed it’d show that there will be three incredible, springlike days coming up on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Much to my surprise/dismay, it predicted rain and possibly snow on Saturday. Knock it off! Don’t go ruining my early spring, Old Man Winter! Don’t y’all head out to buy bread and milk, I’ll bet you a dozen Krispy Kreme Hot Nows we won’t see the first flake of snow. Spring is here!

We were fortunate to close almost $1.5M in Lake Keowee waterfront real estate and put $400K under contract over the past week. We’ve also landed an interior home in Keowee Key to sell and are about to put a big track of Lake Keowee area land on the market. Things continue to hum right along and it looks as if 2024 will be a really good year, even with elections looming. We’ve just got to keep adding great listings!

We are closing just under a couple hundred thousand in real estate this week and will be putting $3M in real estate on the Lake Keowee real estate market. We will also be meeting with folks to speak about putting a few million more on the market soon. A week in the life of Lake Keowee real estate experts Mike and Matt Roach. The fun is in the doing and we try to be doing Lake Keowee real estate every day.

Business over the last few days has been brisk as we’ve had a few folks looking at the current lot and housing market as well as finalizing a couple of listings we will be bringing on the market shortly. No closings as everyone seems to have taken many of the last several days off. Go figure. With those bits of activity, we expect to start out 2024 with a bang. The overall market remains in the sellers favor as we are still short of inventory. It will be interesting to see how this will change in 2024. It appears that things will be steady as she goes.

Hope all of you had a great Christmas and are excited about doing exactly what you want to do for New Year’s Eve. For me I’ll probably in bed and asleep by 10:45. All this Lake Keowee real estate selling stuff can wear a guy out!

How’s business? Very good. Thanks for asking. It’s been an above average November and looks to be a good December. We closed on a couple of properties over the past week and put another Lake Keowee waterfront real estate lot under contract. We’ve also been out to a few more potential listings that we expect to get on the market soon.

How’s business? Slower than we’d like though as to be expected this time of year. We are still getting good activity on listings even for this time of year and have some buyers getting very close to making decisions. We are also still in need of more listings. We’ve stated exactly that repeatedly in the past and you’ve responded beautifully…do it again?

The great news is the views are opening and you can get a much better idea of the overall look of a Lake Keowee piece of land or home with those pesky leaves on the ground instead of in the trees. We’ve listed a few spectacular lots over the couple of weeks and they are begging for you buyers to come out and see them in their leafless glory.  Check out Lot 56 Point Harbor, Lot 5 Laurel Ridge, and Lot 6 Laurel Ridge. We also have a couple of houses we hope to get on the market soon, probably sometime soon after the Thanksgiving holiday. 

Finally, we are going to get some nice cold weather around Lake Keowee. Over the next few days, the weatherman is calling for highs in the 50’s with some frost warnings at night. Lookout, we might be heading deep into a southern winter. In a month or so we might even have a freeze warning. Probably too much to ask for a white Christmas. But let’s do it anyway. Please, Old Man Winter, give us a white Christmas (just for a day – not real big on long snow events, we just want to borrow some snow for a little while).

The bad news is we only have a couple of new listings to take pictures of. Everything is lining up except you fence sitters. Now is a great time to put your Lake Keowee home or lot on the market as there are still plenty of buyers in the market. We can help you by letting you know the current value of your home.
