Busy week, busy weekend, as to be expected along with the higher temperatures come lots of folks looking to lock down their piece of Keowee paradise. Over the weekend we were able to put a Lake Keowee waterfront home, Lake Keowee interior home with a dock slip and a Lake Keowee waterfront lot under contract. For those of you keeping score at home, that’s $4,070,000 in volume on 4 sides! We listed a Lake Keowee home, which we promptly put under contract, as well.

We’ve been chugging along through the winter, side stepping the ice and snowstorms with some alacrity whilst also putting some Lake Keowee waterfront homes on the market. 236 Joe Jen is a special home with over 12 acres of property, two covered docks in place (with potential for more) and less than 10 minutes from the hospital and downtown Seneca. 308 Treetops Dr. is a spectacular home in one of the most sought-after communities on Keowee – Waterford Pointe.

We’ve added a new Lake Keowee waterfront home to our stable of listings. 308 Treetops Drive is a fantastic home in Waterford Pointe with over 7000 ft. of heated space. Over the past week, we’ve had some encouraging property tours resulting in one Lake Keowee waterfront home going under contract, so far. We looked at an interesting house that we expect to put on the market in a couple of weeks as well. All in all, another notable week, with the expectation that the theme will continue. There are buyers in the market and some sellers are putting their properties on the market at a steady pace. It would be nice for those buyers to have a few more choices, hint…hint.

Folks are less likely to go out for a day on Lake Keowee currently. There are plenty of those die-hard fishermen out there doing their best impression of Nanook of the North (it’s amazing what clothing manufacturers can do with modern fabrics to keep us warm), but very few folks are just cruising around for the giggles. There will be some of that in a couple of weeks as we will have a few communities doing their annual Christmas lights on your boat show. Those are fun to watch from the shore, a little more taxing from the water (see Arctic literary character reference above), but fun for folks who are willing to go the extra mile in extending the Christmas spirit.
