The rain and time of year have put a damper on Lake Keowee real estate activity as we’ve noticed a drop in calls over the past week. We were able to put a Lake Keowee waterfront lot under contract and we continue to see activity on our existing listings, but as to be expected much less than what we’d see in July.

October has been a great month for us as we’ve closed just shy of $9M in Lake Keowee waterfront real estate. It’d be great if November and December were as good, but folks just don’t buy as much Lake Keowee real estate this time of year as they do during the summer. That doesn’t mean there aren’t still buyers in the market. In fact there are quite a few looking for just the right property.

Fantastic week last week as we were able to close $8M in Lake Keowee waterfront homes. That’s putting the pedal to the metal. These are things you’d expect, and we expect as well, but as we get closer to the winter slow down, that becomes a bit harder as folks start turning the page on summer 2025. They start thinking more about pumpkin spice, turtle necks and duck boots and less about Lake Keowee waterfront property.

What’s new around Lake Keowee? Well, the kids are back in school! Clemson just had their move in week and begin classes today for the Fall of 2025 semester. That means we are just a few days from college football starting up as well. Sure would be nice to relive those college years, but we’ll just have to settle for doing it vicariously.
