My kids and I just got back from a mini-vacation in Myrtle Beach where we were able to enjoy the sun and sand, a water park, and everyone’s favorite dinner “experience” Medieval Times. I asked for a fork and the waitress (hand maiden) replied, “there were no forks in medieval times so there are no forks at Medieval Times.” I quipped, “but there was Pepsi?” to which she shot back (breaking character), “Dude, I’ve got a lot of tables.” With that fresh in my kids psyches, they are feeling a powerful aversion to the impending 2014-15 school year. Hard to believe but it is only 2 weeks away! We are that close to yet another summer in the books (feels like they are going by faster and faster).
The good news is this has been an especially busy one when you compare it to every summer since 2008. There are more buyers out there in the Lake Keowee real estate market and that’s a very good thing (thank you Martha Stewart). It will lead to a more balanced Lake Keowee real estate market soon, I just can’t tell you how soon). We are far from out of the woods with about one of every three Lake Keowee water front homes or Lake Keowee water front lots listed being sold. Over the past week we’ve been able to put 3 lots and 2 houses under contract as well as working on two additional offers. That’s a stellar week in anyone’s book, I don’t care who you are (thank you Larry the Cable Guy). Still plenty of other folks looking to buy and sell so, back to work (I wish it were school!).
