Lake Keowee Real Estate Expert Blog We’ll Even Block Out the Sun For You!
Now that the excitement has subsided, what is everyone with a mouthpiece going to yammer endlessly about? The event that for months we have been inundated with has subsided. If you don’t know what event to which I am referring, what rock have you been living under?
I speak, of course, of the eclipse and how our area was descended upon and totally ensconced with nearly one million extra folks in South Carolina. Duke Power had a large gathering at the World of Energy with folks showing up before 7am to get a choice spot. Close to the time of the event there were literally thousands parked along Highway 11, in gas station parking lots, on rooftops, out on the lake in boats…virtually everywhere! As for business, we have been able to put a Cliffs Springs lot under contract and are still working on three more lots and a house. A bit slower with new listings but we are in the process of adding another. Being the first week of school (and the eclipse) things do feel a tad bit slower. Hopefully business will be as good as last fall and winter. Who am I kidding, of course it will be!
