Though it sounds like the13th line from “The 12 Days of Christmas” (though it’s really Spring of course), it’s simply an accurate assessment of what’s going on around our beautiful Lakes Keowee and Jocassee. Hopefully everyone had a fantastic Easter week and spring break. Mike and his family celebrated spring break on and around Lake Keowee while my family and I headed up to Chicago and Michigan to visit relatives (on my wife’s side – first time I’ve been to the Windy City and let me tell you it comes by that name honestly – didn’t feel like spring, maybe if you are from that area). The weather up there was cold and snowy (and windy) making me more than anxious to get back to the milder southern climes. Got back here and it was cold and rainy, as well. (What the what?) Fortunately not as rainy and cold as Chicago, but still not the sunny, pleasantly warm spring day I was counting on. Good news! It’s on its way and should be here by the time you read this Lake Keowee Real Estate Expert Blog.

We’ve been busy working on getting some more really good listings to add to the stable over the past few days. We’ll be bringing on a million dollar home up here on the north end and a $450,000 home on the south end of the lake, both very good listings that should sell quickly. Two of our listings went under contract over the past week which is always good. Folks have been watching from the sidelines a bit more, as per usual for this time of year, due to tax season. Our expectation is that we will begin to see a considerable uptick after April 15^th all the way through the end of May when things will then slow a bit for that first week of June as the kids get out of school. Then full throttle through the end of July.

Spring has sprung, now is the time to get your home or lot on the market (making it or them one of our listings of course), just ahead of the aforementioned upticks. The selling season is here and soon properties will start looking their best as the leaves and flowers start to bloom. Let us get your property out there in front of as many eyes as possible! There are several interesting things in the news this week. One of the coolest, from a liking of cool things you can do on or around Lake Keowee is that the observation tower on the top of Sassafras Mountain is finally in full swing.
