Lake Keowee Real Estate Expert Blog Come on Spring!
The things I would do to get spring to hurry up and get here already include and are not limited to: 1) licking the floor of a Florida truck stop bathroom, 2)shaving my head with a cheese grater, 3) chewing tinfoil. I keep going outside in the morning expecting not to need a jacket, but no such luck as the clouds continue to meander in front of the sun, constantly, as if they are a pull down blind that the “sproing” back device has unraveled – outright frustrating. Being purveyors of Lake Keowee waterfront property, sun and warmth are important to our business and the earlier in the season they come the better for us all. I think we were sucked into believing the shorts were out for good a couple of weeks back and have since been disappointed, every day, for several days in a row. I WANT TO WEAR SHORTS – and be warm, and have people get most excited about buying Lake Keowee real estate! As the wiser folks among us say, patience in all things. That and long-term planning can drive a weak man to drink – a lot. We strive to be strong and only drink on special occasions in moderation, like when Clemson won the national championship or made the sweet 16 or when we’re sitting on the dock watching the sun go down over the lake….again, I digress. How’s business? Surely, you are dying to know (and yes, I’ll stop calling you Shirley). Well, despite the uncooperative weather patterns of late, we have been able to close above a million dollars in property over the past week via a Lake Keowee waterfront home and waterfront lot. Added another beautiful home to the stable of very impressive homes we have currently listed and are getting a couple of nice ones ready to bring on the market. We’ve also had some really good tours on some listings that will hopefully turn into contracts here very shortly.
We continue to focus on our web site advertising, analyzing the SEO factors and making changes here and there in an effort to continually get our listings and our information in front of as many eyes as possible. We also sent out our latest direct mail piece last week and added brochures to all of the boxes that may have been low along with a myriad of other little, albeit vital, marketing opportunities. It’s a never ending process, as is all of the advertising we do. If we aren’t advertising then we aren’t selling and we’ve got sellin’ on our mind (women and children are counting on college educations and the like, not to mention paying for those drinks and tinfoil alluded to above).
