Clear and Cold
Well it’s finally here, the cold. And not just the cold but the deep down in the marrow, stop your blood flowing, freeze your eyelids shut cold. Ok, maybe that’s a slight exaggeration but you gotta cut this South Carolina boy some slack. I grew up in a climate that conditioned me to shiver at the thought of anything below 60 degrees! This morning on my trip into the office it was 19! We’ve had an extremely mild fall so far so it was quite the shock to my measly wind breaker that winter has actually arrived. Heck, I just stopped wearing shorts 2 weeks ago. In all fairness, can you blame me for missing the weather reports? We’ve been too busy to stop and do anything but work on getting your homes and land in front of as many eyes as possible! You’re welcome!!! 😉
New contracts plus new fantastic listings, the hits just keep coming – thank goodness! You buyers continue to enter the market place even with school, football, soccer, and cold. Our latest mantra has been, “This is the busiest we’ve been in the fall in 5 or 6 years.” Quite a change from, “If it’s anything like last fall, pray for an early spring.” Can you blame a buyer? Deals are great, interest rates are better, Lake Keowee and Lake Jocassee are beautiful and the economy seems to be chugging forward like a steam engine on full tilt. All indications I can find tell me 2015 will be a very good year. For us, 2014 has already been a good year and with more tours today, tomorrow, Friday and this weekend it should keep getting better!
Sellers, be sure to make it shine. Business is picking up, but there is still plenty of inventory competing with you and even newer stuff coming on the market all of the time. Make sure you’ve had your property inspected, fixed, appraised, beautified, etc. If you need any advice or assistance, don’t you dare hesitate to call us!
