Change in the Air
Of season, that is. You can just smell it! Most people, when asked what their favorite season is, will say either spring or summer. That’s probably because they’ve never spent fall here on Lake Keowee! The air cools, the leaves explode with color and the views become crystal clear. Even the local Clemson sports radio station has announced that football season 2015 is here. It don’t git no clearer than that; fall is upon us! Some really good news is buyers are still coming out to find their own piece of heaven on Lake Keowee. We’ve stayed busy now for the last 18 months, reaching all the way back to the winter of 2013. At this point, I dare say we call it a trend!
Waterfront lot inventory remains high with 467 total Lake Keowee waterfronts available. That is a total listed volume of $147,886,727. Year-to-date there have been 92 units to sell on volume of $24,873,750. If you don’t have your ciphering machine handy thats about 17% of total volume and 20% of total units. That means there are a lot of properties not getting sold. Again, a lot of that has to do with bank lending and construction costs (later – still tough to get a lot loan former – up 30% in the last 3 years). This has led to a better situation in the Lake Keowee home market with 99 selling since the beginning of the year for a total volume of $65,781,290. There are a total of 225 waterfront homes available currently on Lake Keowee with a total listed value of $215,761,348. That’s 44% of homes listed getting sold this year and 30% of total volume.
While it’s still tough for you sellers, the buyers are working their way out of the wood! For more numbers see below!!!! ////
