Blowing Leaves
Yep, starting to be that time of year again. The downside to the fall is not necessarily what falls but how much of it falls…you follow? It’s the leaves. I don’t know about you but at my house I’ve got LOTS of large hardwood trees that look tremendous during the autumnal color explosion and it’s not just my house, it’s all of Lake Keowee. The nice thing about looking at them around Keowee and Jocassee is you don’t have to clean them all up – only your yard and usually just in that small area you’ve reserved for grass…and the driveway… oh and don’t forget the walk-way…and that crook in the roof…and don’t forget the gutters. Well, I simply remind myself to look up at the beauty as I run the leaf blower.
On to bidness… Closing lots of property with another $326,000 in volume to be added to the total today (awesome sauce!). As we stated last week, there are fewer buyers in the market, but we’re seeing more folks head back into the market who’ve been waiting for the summer rush to subside. Now is a great time to get a fantastic deal. Uncertainty as to the presidential situation resulting in still more sellers than buyers and incredibly low interest rates begs the question, “Why wait, buy at the right time (which is now)!”
Needless to say (but you know i’m going to say it anyway) did you hear about the game here on Saturday night? If you didn’t you watch waayyy to much political stuff and you live in a dark hole, not just any dark hole but one down deep like an old salt mine or the one my neighbor’s dog keeps digging in my reserved grass. Louisville #3 vs. Clemson #5 – AP ranking which we don’t ascribe to – or Louisville #4 vs. Clemson #3 coaches poll – coaches know more than writers, obviously. It’s going to be a HUGE day around here with ESPN’s College Gameday showing up to broadcast live and an all-day event leading up to the 8:00 pm kick-off. If you live here already, don’t you just love it? If you don’t live here yet, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? We’ll make room!!!
