Bald Eagle?
We were out on Lake Keowee on Saturday night after the big storms and were rewarded with one of those Lifetime Channel moments; a sighting of what was in all probability a bald eagle! Our nation’s majestic symbol! A rare glimpse around here, indeed. But who knows, there are more than likely quite a few more of those beautiful birds of prey populating the area since Duke Energy created a habitat for them on one of the islands just north of the Highway 130 bridge. This guy was perched in the middle of a nest and then promptly flew to the trees. I must reiterate, man do I love Lake Keowee!
How’s business? Get comfortable, this’ll take a minute. Quite good although we’d really like to get more of our higher priced listings under contract. We added 4 sales to our board last week – another very good week – but only one lot that would be considered in the higher echelons of property value on the lake. The good news is we have several homes that range from $600,000 to $2,950,000 that are stunningly beautiful and are in desperate need of new owners. We just lowered one of the homes we have on Lake Jocassee by just shy of $330,000 to $1,495,000. It has spectacular views and full sized covered dock with deck roof. It’d be perfect for multiple families and even rental. Check it out by clicking here 215 Whitewater Haven. Overall the lake market remains much like 2014. In the paper this morning there is an article entitled Officials: Upstate Housing Market ‘doing well again’ which means that it’s only a matter of time before the higher end Lake Keowee and Lake Jocassee properties take off. The good news for you buyers is it hasn’t happened quite yet leaving you with the perfect opportunity. Give us a call and TAKE IT because good things come to those who act!
