Around Lake Keowee, more than a few of us are really excited about the Clemson Tigers basketball team leading the ACC for the first time in quite some time. Yes, we realize the Georgia Bulldogs have now won back-to-back National Championships, but what have you done lately? Like since a couple of days ago?

How does any of this effect Lake Keowee real estate? Got me, but it’s fun to talk about…just like Lake Keowee real estate! Although we are not seeing tons of activity (it is wintertime) we are definitely seeing some encouraging activity as we’ve had three tours in as many days with folks making some buying decisions. We’ve also been able to add a new listing to the fold. A very special $2,499,000 home in Peninsula Pointe South 572 McAlistar Rd. We expect the current level of activity to continue into March and then expect things to pick up as folks jockey to get a piece of that Lake Keowee real estate gold prior to July 4^th.

Our expectation for 2023 is for it to be a pretty good year. Inventory remains a scad low but it’s trending up a bit. That should keep prices in the same ballpark, at least for a while. The reality is there are a lot of people who want to live on Lake Keowee but not enough properties to go around. We expect business to always be there. Just like us!

DHEC offering free radon test kits

Radon is a naturally occurring, invisible, odorless, tasteless gas, the agency said in a news release Thursday. The gas is dispersed in outdoor air, but can reach harmful levels when it gets trapped inside a building. Radon problems can be fixed, but can only be detected by performing a home test.
