Lake Keowee Real Estate Expert Blog Sunny and Snow!
Often times we start this Lake Keowee real estate expert blog out with news about the weather. It’s low hanging fruit for the author as it’s something everyone can relate to and is interested in. Well this past week around Lakes Keowee and Jocasssee was one of those more interesting weather weeks as a forecasted “light dusting of snow” turned into a snowman maker and ushered in the temperatures we spoke of last week that will definitely get us out of our shorts – at least for the next 7 days as they are expected to fall into the 20’s overnight. That’s pipe freezing weather if you forgot to unhook that hose, etc. (so spend some time making sure your home is ready for some cold as the last thing you want to come into is a flooded space – I’ve done it, more than once and I didn’t like it, I didn’t like it a LOT.)
Now is a great time to meet with us and look into getting your property on the market. We can discuss what needs to be done and give you ideas of things that could be done to get your Lake Keowee home or lot ready. It usually takes a month to get all of the inspections completed, repairs made, landscaping fixed up, appraisal completed and clutter removed. And it’s a lot easier on you if you can take some time to finish the process and be ready to hit the market in the February/March time frame.
Looks like we will be adding a couple more lots to the inventory over the next week. We were able to close 6 sides at $1,500,000 in volume over the past week all of that hard work over the past few months coming to fruition. Tours and contracts have slowed as expected, but we expect business to be at least as good as it was this time last year. Big thing is you buyers need to get out and take advantage of your advantage in the lot market. Still good inventory out there at good prices, but with liquidation sales drying up and the economy rolling along it’s not going to last. NOW is the perfect time to find that perfect Lake Keowee property!
