Wow, That's a LOT of Rai

Wow, That's a LOT of Rai

Oct 7, 2015 | Posted by | Uncategorized |

First and foremost, wedd like to take a solemn moment to send our thoughts and prayers out to those struggling through the aftermath of the rain event South Carolina experienced over the last several days. In the Lowcountry where we grew up and in the Midlands the effects are being felt much more severely than here in the Lake Keowee area. Thousands have been displaced and the property damage has yet to be fully assessed. The cleanup and rebuilding facing our neighbors is monumental. If anyone reading this would like to help in any way, there are numerous churches and other private and public organizations that would be more than happy to receive your offer to assist or monetary donation. This flood is historically catastrophic and any help you could render will be greatly appreciated.

For us, yes we experienced a lot of rain, fortunately we really didn’t experience much more than a few power outages and some difficult traveling conditions. The Clemson game (them who beat Notre Dame by the way!) was quite the deluge with a pretty much constant stream of rain starting around noon until sometime during Sunday. That is on top of all of the rain we’d had over the past couple of weeks. I’m always one for silver linings and the one here is the impending drought is no longer impending. Lake Levels are strong and as we head into fall and winter we feel confident they should stay that way. Right now it is sunny an 74 degrees, hopefully to stay that way for quite some time.

On to business; we have been working on uploading several new listings to all of our marketing outlets. A home and some impressive lots top the list. Take some time to check them out if you get the chance by going over to the “Our Listings” button on our www.LakeKeoweeRealEstateExpert.com web site. We were also able to put another lot under contract and close on a home and 2 additional lots. All in a week’s work!
