This change hasn’t stopped folks from buying and selling Lake Keowee waterfront real estate as we’ve been able to close on just shy of one million dollars’ worth of it over the past week. We’ve also been able to put $2M in Lake Keowee property under contract. It’d be nice to keep up that pace, and we’re going to try and do exactly that. Broken record time; we need your help. We need more listings. There are still plenty of buyers in the market, you can make both them and you very happy people: they get top value real estate while they give you top dollar.

We’ve had a good week, closing $4.5M in Lake Keowee waterfront real estate and getting 4 new listings that should soon turn into more Lake Keowee waterfront closings. It’s exciting stuff and leads us to believe the market will stay strong for a good while longer. We keep waiting for the presidential election to have an effect but doesn’t seem to be happening, at least not yet. Everything is rolling right along.

July 4, 2024 is in the rear-view mirror meaning half the year is there, as well. Anytime I think about time nowadays it feels like it is speeding up. Is it? Wasn’t it just Christmas? Maybe, Christmas in July. That’s why we all must focus hard on living our absolute best lives. You never know when you will finish the race. Obviously, it’s easier to enjoy life when you do things like own a piece of property on Lake Keowee where you can launch a jet ski any time you have the compulsion (or compelsion if you’re from Mayberry). As I’ve said more than once, it’s hard not to have a smile on your face when you’re cruising the lake on one of those.

We’re in need of the cool, clear waters of Lake Keowee these late June days as the temperatures have jumped into the 90’s. Plenty of folks are out taking advantage of the relief the water gives. Over the weekend we traveled all around Keowee, enjoying the cool spray and taking several dips. It’s a lot better than mowing the grass.

Before you know it July 4th will be here. Around Lake Keowee it’s a BIG celebration with many communities putting on fireworks displays, cookouts, get-togethers, shin-digs, not to mention the occasional hootenanny. It’s absolutely the height of the season for Lake Keowee. It’s also the peak of Lake Keowee real estate season. 

Around Lake Keowee the time we’ve all been waiting for is here! Full-fledged summer. The kids are all out of school and the lake is clamoring for everyone’s attention. It should be an excellent Lake Keowee real estate selling season.

Around Lake Keowee we’ve received plenty of rain so far this year. That’s led to plenty of green grass and lots of growth. Great time to get your unimproved Lake Keowee waterfront lot under brushed (we’ve got folks for that) as you can get rid of the new growth and make it easy to walk (easier to under brush next time as well). Once it’s done you’ll see what a great piece of Lake Keowee waterfront property it is and decide to build a house (we’ve got some builders we can send your way) or put it on the market to turn it into cold hard cash (we can tell you how much it is worth and get it SOLD for the most amount of money in the least amount of time with the least amount of stress).

Memorial Day around Lake Keowee is in the rear-view mirror. Hopefully, everyone was able to enjoy a safe and fun holiday while having the opportunity to appreciate and honor the US military personal who’ve served and those who have died in service to our country. We all know someone who we should thank for their service. To those of you reading this. Thank you for your service.

The good news for us is we have 5 Lake Keowee properties in various stages of preparation for the market along with some excellent recently added listings. We were also able to put some very nice (and fortunate) folks in a $1.4M Lake Keowee home last week. Things are looking bright for 2024. That should be a slogan of some sort (Marketing? Get on that right away. I’m sure Ernie will have great ideas). We will probably run into a few headwinds as we get closer to election season, but we expect the spring and summer to be strong. A lot of folks still have money in their pockets and are ready to spend.
