As stated above we are still seeing activity in all phases of Lake Keowee real estate. We were able to close a $1M+ dollar home last week and will be closing a Lake Keowee waterfront lot this week. Sounds like a fairly normal week here at Top Guns Realty. Just like for the last 26 years (as Top Guns and 36 years in real estate on Lake Keowee). Tough Labor Day Weekend for the Clemson, Florida State and Virginia Tech fans around Lake Keowee. You Georgia fans are feeling frisky again, congratulations your team looked dominate on the field. Hopefully, Clemson will get another chance in a couple of months. You just never know. What does this have to do with Lake Keowee real estate? Nothing really, just put me in a bad mood and I’ve got to talk about it with somebody.

That commitment is paying off as we were able to put another Lake Keowee waterfront lot under contract along with an interior home with boat slip. Just bit shy of $1M in Lake Keowee real estate, but who’s counting? We are…all the time as we sell ourselves out of inventory. I said that to say this: we need more good listings. We have a couple of houses and lots that may be ready to go but haven’t pulled the trigger yet. It is a great time to sell as you’ve gotten to enjoy the summer of 2024 and could still profit by 2024’s end. 

Just in time to knock down the pollen around Lake Keowee comes a little bit of rain for the next few days before a stunning Lake Keowee area weekend. College basketball is over, baseball is in full swing and lake season is standing on our throats laughing. Kids will be out of school before you know it and clamoring to get on the water. While enjoying a gorgeous day around Lake Keowee, I chanced upon a newspaper that had the current weather forecast for the Lake Keowee area. Seeing as the college baseball season is starting this weekend, I assumed it’d show that there will be three incredible, springlike days coming up on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Much to my surprise/dismay, it predicted rain and possibly snow on Saturday. Knock it off! Don’t go ruining my early spring, Old Man Winter! Don’t y’all head out to buy bread and milk, I’ll bet you a dozen Krispy Kreme Hot Nows we won’t see the first flake of snow. Spring is here!

Finally, we are going to get some nice cold weather around Lake Keowee. Over the next few days, the weatherman is calling for highs in the 50’s with some frost warnings at night. Lookout, we might be heading deep into a southern winter. In a month or so we might even have a freeze warning. Probably too much to ask for a white Christmas. But let’s do it anyway. Please, Old Man Winter, give us a white Christmas (just for a day – not real big on long snow events, we just want to borrow some snow for a little while).

We are hopeful that business will continue as it has over this entire year. We’re looking at closing over $1M in Lake Keowee lots over the remainder of the week. After that things get a bit slower as the inventory remains lower than the number of perspective buyers. It’s still a great time for you potential sellers and if history is any indicator, folks love to look at Lake Keowee real estate in the fall. The views begin to open and you can walk up and down multiple properties without having to change your shirt.

For the most part, the inventory of good Lake Keowee waterfront property has been lower than the demand that currently exists. We still get listings that go under contract within days of hitting the market. Seems like that has been the norm for years now (at least since the first few months of Covid). Though, that is not what “normal” will be forever. The point being that you potential sellers need to sell while the selling is good. Buyers, just keep on keeping on. We’re working hard to get you guys the inventory you are looking for.

Hot summer days on Lake Keowee. Is there anywhere else you’d rather be? The ocean? No, too salty. The mountains? Too bumpy. A field in the middle of Kansas? Too Toto and Dorothy. Lake Keowee is the perfect place to be this time of year to keep cool and turn hot days into great fun. In a fit of insanity, I decided to bush hog some property around noon yesterday. After an hour I realized this is better done in the early morning or late afternoon or even never. Fortunately, I was able to cool off in Keowee once I was done and it made everything all the better.
