Another beautiful week of weather! As we sit here enjoying yet another day with highs in the low 70’s and leaves bursting with color, I can’t help but think what a wonderful time of year this is around Lake Keowee. Fortunately for us, quite a few others seem to agree as we’ve put another house under contract and are working on getting 2 more lots there, as well. We’ve definitely picked a fantastic spot to set up shop here on Lake Keowee. We could use a spot of rain however, but I gotta believe that plenty will come our way as we head into the rainy winter. For you Keowee owners, thank your lucky stars that you don’t own on Hartwell as you’d be watching the water vanish drip by drop daily as the lake level descended another .04 yesterday (down 9.75 ft. from full pond). But that’s just one little thing that can make these gorgeous lake days a bit less beautiful.
Activity has been fairly brisk for this time of year as referenced above with houses in the lower price ranges doing the best (check out the numbers below this blog). We’re still dealing with a number of liquidation sales and probably will be for what looks to be the foreseeable future. Make sure you let anyone you know who you may speak with on the subject that they need to look at all of the options on Lake Keowee prior to getting pulled into the mega-hype of a liquidation sale (it may seem obvious, but for many of those folks buying – not so much).
As for the political future of the country… Buckle up, buttercups! We are in for a wild ride!
