Silent Week
That’s a play on Silent Night. Not a good one but there it is. I learned early on that if you have to explain a joke, odds are better than average it isn’t a good joke. So let’s pretend I didn’t explain anything and you got a small chuckle from it. The reason for the title is in reference to this time of year around our Top Guns Realty – Lake Keowee Real Estate Experts office. I’d have to say this upcoming week will be about the slowest for business of the year. The good news is it’s far from dead as we will be closing $1,410,000 in real estate today. OK so maybe not so in-busy. But as far as tours and folks contacting us for new business, slow. Kyle Petty at Darlington slow. Mike Tyson on Jeopardy slow. Billy Madison reading Mein Kampf slow. How many of those do I need to explain?
This is both fine and dandy as it gives us time to visit family, travel a bit, and generally recharge and get psyched for 2017. And what a year it will be! We are looking forward to unveiling our new web site along with many new ways of getting you sellers’ properties viewed more often as well as more effectively presenting properties to you buyers. That’s the thing about progress. You must always be progressing. When we first started selling Lake Keowee Real Estate we had one computer that had cost around $3,000 and ran DOS – yep DOS. Had a database program called Q&A. That was it, no MLS, no internet, almost no nothing. It’s like they say when you compare the computing power used on NASA’s journey to the moon compared to your stop watch today. It’s hard to understand just how much more information is available to the Lake Keowee buyer today than when we first started selling Lake Keowee in 1989.
We hope you all have safe travels over the holidays and Merry Christmas!
