Yes, it was partly cloudy and 74 degrees yesterday. If you read our Lake Keowee Real Estate Expert Blog consistently you’ll know that we’ve been lamenting the horrific icy/snowy conditions we’ve been subjected to lo, these past few weeks. Well now I can say with 50% certainty that hellish nightmare is rapidly dwindling in our rear view mirror and we joyfully embrace the boating weather on the horizon! Is the boat gassed up? Are the life jackets moldy? Is my Speedo clean? (Please scratch that last one…no man should ever wear one of those unless he’s…no, he should never wear one.)
We’ve enjoyed a bit of a slower week as we are working only two deals and have only added a couple of listings (par for the course in March on Lake Keowee if you are Tiger or Jack in their prime – or the Roach Brothers on Lake Keowee!!!!). We’ve begun the process of updating some of our office infrastructure, soon to tap into Oconee County’s new fiber optic network as well as updating computers and software in preparation for a great 2015. Sometimes I don’t think people understand how much money it costs to do what we do, but trust me it’s considerable. To most folks it’d seem like quite a gamble, going to work every day spending around $1K a day (every day, even weekends) not knowing if you will make any money. For us though, it’s a way of life and has been for 25 plus years on Lake Keowee!
