Movin'n-Shakin'!
Curve balls here, knuckle balls there, you’d think we were playing in the College World Series instead of selling waterfront real estate on beautiful Lake Keowee. That brings me to a big “Congratulations” to the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers for making it all the way to the Championship Series. That’s something Clemson has never won. Ouch. As all of our Carolina (South) friends say about their football team: wait ’til next year!
Back to those curve balls; they’re one of the most intriguing aspects of what we do, the situation is never static. A phone call/email/text (usually at some bizarre time of day) can lead you in the complete opposite direction from where you were mere moments ago. One second everything looks bad then bam! it’s all peaches and cream, but just as quickly the exact opposite can happen. I won’t bore you with the details now, just be ready to shell out $29.99 for the book, “Roaches in Real Estate”. Title grabs ya, don’t it? Feel free to send us any better ideas.
As for this past week’s performance, when last you’d read our Lake Keowee Real Estate Expert Blog we were working on three deals, which usually means precisely that: three deals. Well not so fast this time, so far we’ve only been able to pull together two of those deals but we were able to add another two to the pot giving us a net of three from a gross of 5 – potato/po-tater.
How’s the market? A LOT of LOTS for sale. We have over 500 waterfront properties currently active with an expected 150-180 to sell this year meaning about 350 sellers are going to be disappointed. Ask us how you can minimize the possibility of you being one of those poor disappointed souls. Houses are dealing with a similar issue, still not quite enough buyers to start making those prices rise. The good news is that houses are selling well in many other places which means our inventory should normalize sooner rather than later.
If you want to know more about anything we do, would like to see us discuss a particular subject, or have some suggestions for changes/additions to our format, take a moment to send us an email at [email protected] or [email protected]. We would really appreciate your input!
